An infection in a tooth has the potential to spread to the interior of the tooth. We call this dental pulp. Blood veins, connective tissue, and nerves can all be found in the tooth pulp. All of the tooth's sensitive regions are located in this region. Because of this, an infection that develops in the affected area can be extremely painful and require medical attention right away. To remove all affected portions from the tooth, a tiny hole is drilled during a root canal endodontic procedure. The teeth pulp is extracted, along with the roots in some situations. All that's needed for the tooth to grow and to experience heat and cold is the roots of the tooth. Once the tooth reaches adulthood, extracting the roots will not cause any immediate damage.
